There’s a whole lot more to Switzerland
than just chocolate and cuckoo clocks! Saas Fee may be one of the prettiest
villages you’ll ever see, in one of the most stunningly beautiful valleys,
but it is the sheer range of fantastic adventures here which will really
take your breath away.
Saturday
Arrival day, and a chance to settle in and
meet your fellow guests.
Sunday
The morning kicks off with Saas Fee’s
fantastic Forest Adventure Course - a fun challenge for all the family,
comprising hanging bridges, Tarzan-swings and rope-slides through the
forest, culminating in Europe’s longest zip-wire descent! (Children must be
at least 1.10m tall and 1.40m for the zip wire and some Zones.)
After lunch join your Esprit Adventure
Leader on our Saas Fee Welcome Wander, to find all the village’s amenities
and facilities and give you an insight into the village and its history.
Monday
We’ll enjoy a brisk walk over to Saas
Almagell for the start of today’s adventures, or for those who like a more
leisurely start, drive over or take the post-bus! Here we start the
Almagellerhorn Adventure Trail, a perfect family adventure hike, including a
spectacular 60-metre rope-bridge across a canyon, timber walkways and
passages over rocks and gorges. A day of spectacular views and incredible
heights, as well as a good chance of wildlife sightings, so don’t forget
your camera!
We’ll stop en route for a picnic lunch
before completing the trail and returning to Saas Fee.
Tuesday
A free day to relax or a chance to pack in
even more adventures – it’s up to you! Opportunities include summer skiing
on the glacier, pony-trekking, rock-climbing, or perhaps a 40-minute drive
to Switzerland’s biggest outdoor swimming-pool complex at Brigerbad.
This evening is your Chalet Hotel team’s one
night off, so enjoy a local speciality dinner such as a raclette or fondue
in one of the many traditional village restaurants.

Wednesday
A day out on our Mountain Bike Safari along
the Hannig foothills, on a route suitable for all the family, including less
experienced youngsters and parents who haven’t cycled in a while! We stop at
the ‘Wild Woodland’ for our well-earned picnic lunch, before returning to
Saas Fee on a scenic trail, across meadows dotted with refreshing
interactive water features.
