THE SKIING

Setting out from Plan-Peisey to ski each morning, you will have the tantalising choice between the 6-person high-speed chairlift straight up into the Les Arcs area above Arc 1800, or the spectacular 4minute ride across to the Montchavin slopes of La Plagne. Both lifts depart just 75m from our chalets.

With 425km of integrated lifts and pistes, 3 glaciers, 2 summits over 3,000m, and more off-piste than you ever dreamed of, it is no surprise that the name of Plan-Peisey is on every skier’s lips!

FAMILIES
Plan-Peisey is ideal for families, as initially the children’s lessons will be held in the ski garden just behind the base of the 6-man chairlift, just 50m from our chalets. The numerous blue runs through the forest surrounding the village will also make a day out ‘en famille’ at the end of the week a delight.

BEGINNERS
The local village slopes offer plenty of gentle blue runs for practising technique and the opportunities to venture higher on blue runs as you improve, into Les Arcs or across the valley to La Plagne, are limitless. You can even ski all the way to and from Arc 1800 without leaving blue runs.

INTERMEDIATES
The Les Arcs side offers you over 200km of wide open pistes to explore and the 4-minute cable-car link to La Plagne opens up another 220km. The high altitude slopes offer complete snow security, and the choice and variety of skiing is simply awesome. One week just won’t be long enough!

ADVANCED
Skiers in search of a challenge will be spoilt for choice with the number of adrenaline-inducing black runs now accessible. On the home slopes down to Plan-Peisey from Les Arcs is an enjoyably testing run, the Ecureuils, or try the exciting 7km long black from the Aiguille Rouge down to Villaroger. Across the valley on the La Plagne side, head up to the glacier to take on the challenging north face of Bellecote, one of the most famous off-piste routes in the Alps (guide required).

POWDER POTENTIAL
With fresh snowfall, both sides of the link offer blissful playgrounds of powder. The tree-lined home slopes of Plan-Peisey will appeal to keen glade skiers, and the open bowls higher up offer endless acres for delightful days of waist-deep skiing.

SNOWBOARDING
There is a superb fun-park and half-pipe in Les Arcs and specialist snowboard schools who offer excellent tuition. The well-groomed pistes are ideal for perfecting technique and there are plenty of swooping runs back to the village. Across the link to La Plagne, you can enjoy another fun-park at Plagne Bellecôte.
